ACCESSIBILITY STATEMENT
Our commitment to accessibility
MBS Accounting Ltd wants our website and digital services to be straightforward, understandable and usable by as many people as reasonably possible.
Accessibility is part of providing a professional service. We recognise that people access information in different ways and may use assistive technology, keyboard navigation, magnification, alternative formats or other adjustments.
Current accessibility status
We are developing and reviewing the MBS Accounting website with recognised accessibility principles in mind.
WCAG 2.2 Level AA
We use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.2 at Level AA as the technical benchmark toward which we are working.
Formal conformance not yet claimed
We do not currently state that the entire website has been independently audited or formally confirmed as fully conformant with WCAG 2.2 AA.
How we approach accessibility
We aim to make accessibility part of the way the website is designed, written and maintained rather than treating it as a separate feature.
Perceivable
Information should be presented in ways that users can perceive, including people who use assistive technologies or different display settings.
Operable
Website controls and navigation should be usable without unnecessarily depending on a mouse, precise movement or a particular device.
Understandable
Content, navigation and instructions should be clear, predictable and written in language that helps people understand what they need to do.
Robust
We aim for website content to work reliably across modern browsers, devices and assistive technologies.
Responsive
Pages should adapt appropriately across desktop, tablet and mobile screen sizes without making information unnecessarily difficult to access.
Human support
Where a digital route does not work for someone, we want there to be a clear way to contact us and discuss another reasonable way to access the service.
What we aim to support
As the website develops, we aim to make its core content and functionality accessible in the following ways.
Using the website in a way that suits you
Your browser, operating system and device may provide accessibility features that can make websites easier to use.
Zoom and text size
You may be able to enlarge text or zoom the page using your browser or device settings.
Keyboard controls
Many browsers allow you to move between links, buttons and form controls using the keyboard.
Screen readers
Screen-reading technology can interpret structured page content and provide it through speech or other output.
Display preferences
Your operating system or browser may allow you to adjust contrast, colour, text size, motion or other display preferences.
Accessibility standard
We use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines as an important reference point when considering digital accessibility.
WCAG provides internationally recognised guidance for making web content more accessible to people with disabilities.
We are working toward Level AA as an appropriate benchmark for the MBS Accounting website.
You can read more about WCAG 2.2 on the W3C website .
Accessibility review and known limitations
The website continues to develop and we have not yet completed a formal independent accessibility audit covering every page, component and user journey.
This means there may be accessibility barriers that we have not yet identified or documented.
Third-party platforms and content
Some parts of our digital service may involve technology provided or operated by other organisations.
Information in another format
If information on our website is difficult for you to access, tell us what you need and what format would help.
Where reasonable and practicable, we will consider providing information in another accessible form.
Report an accessibility problem
If you find part of the MBS Accounting website difficult to use, cannot access information or believe an accessibility issue is preventing you from using our services, please contact us.
Tell us what happened
If possible, tell us which page or feature you were using, what went wrong and what device or assistive technology you were using.
Tell us what you need
Explain what you were trying to access or complete. This helps us consider the most useful practical adjustment or alternative.
Reasonable adjustments
We recognise that disabled people may sometimes need reasonable adjustments in order to access information or use a service without being placed at a substantial disadvantage.
If you require an adjustment when communicating with MBS Accounting or using one of our services, please tell us. We will consider the circumstances of the request and what reasonable steps can be taken.
Accessibility needs differ from person to person, so we encourage you to explain what would make the service work better for you.
How we intend to improve accessibility
Accessibility is an ongoing process rather than a one-time website task.
Further support
We would prefer to resolve an accessibility concern directly wherever possible. If you have contacted us and remain concerned about discrimination or your equality rights, independent information is available from the Equality Advisory and Support Service.
